You can file dormant accounts for any financial year in which the company was dormant. So if your company was dormant for the year ending 31 December 2025, but started trading afterwards, you may still submit dormant accounts for 2025, but not for the next financial year.
If your company qualifies, you can make it dormant by filing dormant accounts with Companies House and informing HMRC that it is no longer trading. You may also update your SIC code to 99999 (Dormant Company).
